Artist's Comments

This is the first image I've posted here in a long time. My disabilities have been severely limiting my time at the computers.

Lately things have been better for me and I've been exploring the unlimited possibilities of Apophysis. This new image is my first Grand Julian and I created it using a variation of Claire Jones's Julia Uncovered tutorial. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. Thank you, Claire, for your excellent tutorial. ;-)

Crisp Julians are hard to come by. This one is a beauty. The contrast between dark and golden hues really sets it off. The subtle touch of blue-green hues adds interest. As always, I love the many details.

Smile!! It keeps everyone wondering what you've been up to!

I came across this treasure while visiting *PatGoltz Gallery in her Favourites folder. The pearl-like sheen and sharp, clean render you've achieved is fantastic.

Thank you, Pat. As always I really appreciate your feedback. I played with this one for a long time before I was satisfied, especially with the coloring. After getting so used to Bryce working with Apo is a real challenge. I can see it's going to take me time to learn how to craft original works from scratch.

Thank you, Patrx. I'm happy you like it. It came out better than I'd hoped. :-)

Thank you, Isis. Calling it a treasure has me smiling BIG TIME! The render is so clean because I made the original 4000x3000 and reduced it to 1280x960 in Photoshop. I've noticed Apo doesn't do anti-aliasing even at high quality settings so small renders aren't as clean.
